TesTex performs inspections on air cooler fin fan tubes using the Remote Field Electromagnetic Technique (RFET) and the Eagle Plus System.
The Fins have no impact on the signal and the dry technique uses no couplant or magnets and requires only minimal tube cleaning.
The "Plugs" are removed from the tubes to test. The Eagle Plus System's probe is inserted into the tube and pushed through the entire length. Data is collected as the probe is withdrawn from the tube at a steady rate.
Standard report components include wall loss/thickness remaining values as well as a color-coded tube sheet map.
All normal sizes of air cooler tubes are tested and while a 50' probe length is standard, longer lengths may be tested with advance notice.
