| Fire Protection Piping Inspection |
| The PS-2000 scans plant fire protection piping to locate and size cracks, pits, and general wall thinning without removing the pipes from service. The PS -2000 will test both ferrous and non-ferrous pipes from the OD, identifying these defects no matter what their cause (MIC, FAC, erosion, corrosion, etc.). Scanning can be performed manually or with robotic crawlers at test speeds up to 30 ft/min (9.2 m/min) through paint and uniform scale to provide a fast, accurate, and cost effective scan. No contact or couplant is required for the testing and extra savings are realized in reduced prep and clean-up time as a result. Pipe sizes 1" and larger can be tested. Other piping applications in Nuclear Power Plants include service water and main steam piping. |
