| The Testex, Inc. developed
Hawkeye 2000 System is based on the principles
of Balanced Field Eddy Current. It is used
to detect surface and sub-surface cracking
in welds. With scanning speeds from a few
inches/second to 1 foot/second, the Hawkeye
2000 is much faster than conventional NDT
techniques such as Dye Penetrant and Magnetic
Particle testing. |
| The Hawkeye 2000 System can
be used for a multitude of welding inspections,
such as, pressure vessel weld inspections,
tube to header weld inspections, dissimilar
metal weld inspections, etc. This system
can virtually be used anywhere there is
a cracking issue. |
| The Hawkeye 2000 System can
detect cracking within 3/8” of the
surface. It also is a dry method, which
needs minimal surface preparation. |
