The TS-2000 with Ligament Scanner is used to scan the membrane areas of waterwall tubing in utility boilers.
The newly developed TesTex ligament scanner is used to detect imperfections where the ligament and tube meet. This is a valuable service for NDT, where other ultrasonic test methods are not easily able to detect flaws because of space and size constraints.
 The
scanner is designed to test the ligament and sides of the tube where the
tube and ligament meet. When scanned, an accurate and continuous reading
of the entire area is recorded. After collecting the data, all indications
are marked on the tubes and sized according to our calibrations.
This inspection is helpful in the detection of corrosion fatigue cracking and any imperfections in the ligaments. |
