 The
system scans the piping from the O.D. to detect I.D. and O.D. defects.
The system is lightweight, portable, and can scan approximately 2,000
to 2,500 linear passes of pipe per shift. Multiple scans are required
to test the full pipe circumference.
 This
system is very useful for finding isolated areas of corrosion/erosion
that are difficult to detect by conventional ultrasonics. (UT)
The PS-2000 can scan through paints and cold tar epoxy wrap. Sizes tested range from ½" to 72".
 For
certain bends the extrados and intrados can be tested with custom scanners.
Both ferrous and non-ferrous piping can be inspected using the PS-2000.
