| Thin Wall Pressure Vessel Inspection |
| Various types of thin wall pressure vessels are inspected using Low Frequency Electromagnetic Technique (LFET) and the Falcon 2000 system. The test method is a dry contact method requiring no couplant or magnets and little or no surface preparation. The entire surface may be scanned to determine thickness remaining over 100% of the surface area. Paint and thin coatings do not impact the signal and the test may be performed either from the outside or inside of the vessel. The procedure involves rolling the scanner along the surface of the uninsulated test vessel at a steady rate. Each scan is side by side to ensure complete coverage. A full report with drawings, charts, etc. is provided as a hard copy of results. Types of vessels include (but are not limited to):
