TesTex inspects towers, columns and stacks associated with all aspects of chemical and industrial processes using Low Frequency Electromagnetic Technique (LFET) methods and the TS-2000 Scanning System.
Virtually any uninsulated metal component may be tested with this method. The procedure involves moving the wheeled scanner along the length of the scan area at a steady rate. The scanner may be propelled either manually or via a motorized magnetic crawler.
Data is collected, stored and evaluated using the system's analysis/display software. Wall thickness values can be computed for the entire scanned area resulting in a full final report.
The scanners are capable of scanning any uninsulated metal component up to 1" thick. No couplant or magnets are required and little or no surface preparation is necessary. |
