| The TesTex, Inc. TX4200 ECT
Inspection System is based on the Eddy Current
Technique to quickly and accurately inspect
non-ferrous metal tubing from the tube I.D. |
| The two-frequency system can
detect and size ID/OD pitting, baffle cutting,
erosion, steam impingement, general wall
losses, etc. The system has differential
and absolute responses for each frequency.
The system also has a built in reference
signal to generate an absolute signal without
the use of a Reference probe. |
| The TX4200 Electronics Box
is coupled with an IBM compatible laptop
computer to operate the system through windows
based software. All data is archived for
analysis and processing as well as for comparison
for future inspections. The Universal Bus
System based communication to PC allows
sample rates up to 12,000 samples/second/channel.
The system has a frequency range from 1
khz to 1200 khz. |
| Real-time mixing is available
for suppression of support/baffle plates.
The system may view absolute and differential
modes at the same time. |
| The electronic boards are
designed for independent operation to permit
easier troubleshooting, repair, and expansion.
Each of the main circuit boards is designed
to act as a nearly complete single frequency
system. Additional frequencies can be added
to a system by adding additional main circuit
boards to the backplane board. |
